Description Family Asparagaceae Originating from Japan, Korea, China Intensely coloured leaves present themselves in one of the densest clumps of all hostas. The silver-blue and gunmetal-grey colours retain their vibrancy late into the season and display a waxy sheen. The leaves’ well-defined, curving veins accentuate their gracefully pointed heart shape, and form a large, slowly spreading clump, topped by spikes of dusky lilac tubular flowers held well above the foliage. Easy to grow in all but thin poor soils, even in full sun, but best in moist, sandy or humus-rich, dappled shady woodland conditions. Height and spread in 2 – 5 years 60cm x 70cm.
