Description Family Fabaceae Originating from Japan Translucently pale pink and white blooms with deep cerise/purple hints make this old variety’s 60cm long, sweetly scented pendants irresistibly alluring to pollinators and people alike. The racemes of many individual blooms appear in spring and summer alongside the emerging leaf shoots and then from amongst the young, feather-shaped foliage. Although this vigorous climber needs space to grow naturally, it is very receptive to pruning. Easy to grow in any soil in full sun or partial shade. Height and spread after 10 – 20 years 8m x 4m.
